Charles Campbell College VET Expression of Interest

Welcome

An overview of the VET Expression of Interest process.

This is an expression of interest only. All students must complete this form to be considered for enrolment into a VET course.

The process has five stages:

1. Expression of Interest Form — this form. You'll need a USI Number, evidence of your suitability for the course, and your parent/guardian's awareness.
2. Parent/Guardian Endorsement and Paperwork — after you submit, your parent/guardian will receive an email with paperwork to complete and return.
3. Meeting — you and your parent/guardian will be invited to a meeting with Rachael Savage (SACE, VET & Pathways Leader).
4. VETRO Approval — your parent/guardian completes a final approval request from the Department for Innovation and Skills.
5. Final RTO Decision — the Registered Training Organisation reviews and confirms your application. An acceptance letter is sent to your family.

This form takes about 10–15 minutes to complete. Your progress is saved automatically as you go, so you can return later on the same device if needed.

USI Number

A Unique Student Identifier is required for all VET applications.

A USI Number is mandatory for all students applying for VET. If you don't have one, you can create one at www.usi.gov.au.

You'll need a form of ID to create or verify your USI. The recommended options are: driver's licence, Medicare card, or passport.

VET Evidence

What you'll need to provide before your application can proceed.

Your application cannot progress past the EOI stage without VET evidence. Evidence must be relevant to the industry pathway of the course you've chosen.

Evidence is provided after you submit this form — you'll receive instructions in the follow-up paperwork.

Examples of acceptable evidence:

Try-a-Trade or Immersion — participation certificate from a trade taster program
Relevant Training — White Card, First Aid Certificate, RRHAN, or similar
Work Experience — payslips, Workplace Learning Agreement, letter from employer, or volunteering evidence
SACE Folio Task — EIF/AIF, Design and Technology folio, or equivalent
